The Fine Wine Auction catalogue is up soon and there are many, many highlights for wine lovers of all tastes and budgets. I’d get a little fatigued listing them all but, for example, in Bordeaux you could buy a pristine In Bond case of Chateau Haut Brion 1989 for £17,000 – £18,000. In fact you could buy 2! If your budget is more modest, you could buy a dozen bottles of Chateau Greysac 2009 for £150 – £180.

Burgundy lovers will have the chance to pick up wines from Dujac, Fourrier and Rousseau with single and multi-bottle lots of some very smart wines but there are also brilliant drinking wines too. This time, we have a really strong Beaujolais section.
It would be wrong to leave France before making mention of the top notch collection of Rhones we have for you this month from both North and South. Top of the tree is a Gentaz-Dervieux 1991 Cote Brune which will set someone back over £2000. Below that price are wines from all the sub-regions I know you all love.
Did I mention the really fantastic champagne section? No? Gosset Brabant 2002? Cristal? Bollinger rose, Paul Bara, Pierre Gimmonet? Delicious.
